Matt's RV Roofing, LLC

Matt's RV Roofing, LLC is a roofing shop based in Howell, Michigan, with one focus: RV roofs. You bring the RV to the shop for an in person quote, which is typically ready the same day as the appointment, and that quote stays good for three months.

The shop handles new roof installations, roof repairs, silicone roof coating, UV protection coating and yearly roof re-seals. A full installation means stripping the old roof down to the plywood, replacing any deteriorated sheets, bonding new EPDM material in place, and reinstalling trim, gutters, vents and skylights. The shop uses 60 mil EPDM, which it describes as "double the thickness" of the 25 to 35 mil material many manufacturers install, meaning more material standing between the weather and the inside of the rig.

No pricing is published, so ask about cost when you call. Appointments run evenings and weekends, which matters if the RV is your only transportation during the week.

The warranty is specific and worth understanding before you sign anything. A new EPDM installation carries an automatic one year warranty, extendable to seven years if the owner brings the RV back for a free yearly inspection for six consecutive years. Silicone roof coating carries an automatic one year warranty, extendable to four years under the same yearly inspection terms. The warranty covers workmanship and material, is transferable to a new owner, and is voided by acts of God, interior damage, or work not done by this shop. The owner has done commercial and residential roofing for over 25 years and has owned an RV for 10.

This is a good fit for an owner in or around Howell who wants a dedicated roof installation or re-seal done on a schedule that does not require taking a weekday off.
