Berkshire Auto Detail

Berkshire Auto Detail is a car detailing business based in Sheffield, Massachusetts, at 705 N Main St. It also does RV work. Its basic services can be done at your site, but "Anything above that we request in shop drop off," so bigger jobs mean taking the rig to the shop.

The RV services include roof washing, awnings, compartments, washes and waxes, gloss enhancement, scratch removal, paint correction and ceramic coating. It names no RV types, so ask whether it works on your motorhome, fifth wheel or travel trailer. It serves "Berkshire County and the Tri-State Area," including Great Barrington, Lenox and North Adams. On paint correction it says, "Paint correction for RV’s can take 2-5 days." Plan on days, not an afternoon.

No RV trip fee or hourly rate is published, so ask about the trip fee when you call. Several prices are listed per foot, but they are not tied to specific services, so ask which one fits your job. Scratch removal is listed as "call for pricing." Hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, by appointment only, though the hours are not consistent across its listings. Call the shop line at (413) 289-8113 before you arrive.

No certifications are named, so ask what training the person doing the work has. It describes itself as "family-owned and operated" with "over a decade of expertise," and says, "We stand behind our services with a 100% satisfaction guarantee." Its insurance covers it "to work on any unit anywhere," so ask to see the certificate before work starts. Google rates it 5 stars from 329 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner near the Berkshires who wants washing, roof or awning cleaning, or paint work on a rig, and who will plan around a shop visit for anything beyond the basics.
