Mel’s Mobile RV Repair

Mel's Mobile RV Repair is a mobile RV technician based in Wells, Maine. Mel comes to you at your home, your campsite or a storage unit. The business serves the "Wells Maine area" and surrounding towns, and it also takes "special request areas," so describe where you are when you call. Call 877-635-7787.

It works on awnings, water heaters, furnaces, refrigerators and AC, and it lists repairs, education and upgrades as well. It does not name the RV types or brands it works on, so bring your make and model to the call. Work done where the rig sits saves a tow. A refrigerator that dies on a hot weekend or a furnace that quits on a cold night is easier to deal with in your own campsite than after a trip to a shop.

It does not publish a trip fee or hourly rate. Hours are by appointment, and the business warns that "MY RESPONSE TIME BE DELAYED DUE TO THE HIGH DEMAND THIS TIME OF YEAR." Book early. Before you book, ask about the trip fee, the hourly rate and any warranty.

It carries NRVTA (National RV Training Academy) and RVTAA (RV Technician Association of America) badges. Those are training and association credentials, a fair sign that the tech has studied RV systems, though neither is a state license. It does not state a license or insurance, and it does not say how long it has been in business.

This is a good fit for an owner or traveler in Wells or the towns around it with an awning, water heater, furnace, refrigerator or AC problem who can book an appointment and wants the work done where the rig sits.
