Take a Journey RV Inspections & Services

Take a Journey RV Inspections & Services is a mobile RV tech based in Georgetown, Kentucky. It comes to you, at your site, and the business does not list a service area or radius on its pages, so ask when you call whether it reaches your location.

It works on roof repair and reseals, steps, fridges, gas and electrical systems, AC units, furnaces, water heaters, refrigerators, microwave ovens, vent fans and lighting on RVs, campers and motorhomes. It also handles the electrical side, transfer switches, cord repair and replacement, AC and DC troubleshooting, inverters, power converters, battery replacement, breakers, outlets and 12 volt house supply problems, plus plumbing work on water pumps, fixtures and above-floor leaks, and solar panel installation. Beyond repairs, it offers pre-purchase and pre-sale inspections and a full walkthrough of a new or pre-owned rig, covering how to hook up power, water and waste, which matters most if you are buying used and want a written picture of what you are taking on before you sign.

The business does not publish a trip fee, hourly rate or diagnostic fee, so ask about those costs when you call. It also has no listed hours, so confirm when it can come out.

Lance Franklin is the mobile inspector and technician, with 27 years in the automotive industry before this; Maureen Franklin runs the office side. Google rates the business 5 stars from 63 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner who wants repairs done in the driveway or at a campground instead of a dealer wait, and for anyone buying or selling a used RV who wants an independent inspection and walkthrough first.
