Salina RV

Salina RV is an RV body shop based in Salina, Kansas, at 1100 W Grand Ave, Building E. You bring the RV to its shop. Its listing does not say whether it will come to a campground, driveway or storage lot, so ask before you plan around that.

The main trade is body work: hail damage repair, body, fiberglass and paint repair, and roof replacement, plus awning replacement. It also lists total electrical and plumbing, A/C and furnace repair, appliance repair, maintenance service and inspections. It calls itself "a shop dedicated solely to RVs." No RV types or brands are named, so ask whether your model is in its shop before you drive over.

No prices, hourly rate or fees are published, so ask for a price on your job before you leave the rig. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with other times by appointment, and Saturday and Sunday are by appointment only. No emergency or after-hours service is named.

The business was created in October 2021 "to serve Kansans, and passersby alike." Its owner, Chris Mikesell, spent ten years building mobility vans and buses and then ran the body work at an RV dealership before starting Salina RV. Master technician Chuck handles the HVAC, appliance, electrical and plumbing work. No certifications, licensing or insurance are named, so ask about those when you call.

For a hail or roof claim, Salina RV says "We work with you and your insurance to make the claims process go smoothly." Insurance paperwork on a damaged rig is slow, so a shop that already works with insurers can save you a round of calls. No warranty on repairs is named, so ask what is covered on the work.

This is a good fit for an RV owner in or near Salina with hail, roof or paint damage on a rig that can be driven in, or a traveler who can wait for a weekday appointment.
