The Magic Touch

The Magic Touch is an auto detailing business based in Louisburg, Kansas, at 1102 S. Metcalf Rd, which it describes as "just 15 miles south of Overland Park." It works on motorcycles, classic cars, exotic vehicles and RVs, and its gallery shows RV work. It does not say whether it comes to your campground, storage lot or driveway, so ask that first when you call.

For RVs it lists exterior cleaning (window cleaning, hand washing and waxing, roof cleaning and treatment, tire and wheel cleaning, awning cleaning), interior detailing (deep cleaning, odor removal, upholstery shampooing, kitchen and bathroom detailing), paint correction and protection (polishing, paint chip touch-ups, ceramic coatings, paint protection film), and pre-trip and post-trip service that "removes bugs, grime, and travel wear." On request it also does a courtesy inspection of the roof, window seals and exterior trim. It lists no mechanical repairs, so a fridge, slide-out or air conditioner problem is outside what it describes.

It publishes no RV prices and no trip fee, so ask what your job will cost before you book. Its hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, and it lists no after-hours or emergency service. If you are weighing a ceramic coating or paint protection film, ask whether a warranty comes with it, since none is mentioned.

The owner, Jason, is named, and the business points to "over 25 years in auto restoration and paint correction," which is the experience to weigh for paint work. Google rates it 4.9 stars from 51 reviews. It names no certifications, licensing or insurance, so ask about each before you book.

This is a good fit for an RV owner around Louisburg and Overland Park who wants a pre-trip clean, paint protection or a thorough interior from a shop open on weekdays, and who wants a price on the phone first.
