515 Mobile Detailing

515 Mobile Detailing is a mobile detailing company based in Des Moines, Iowa. It comes to you, at home, at the office or at work, and covers Des Moines and the surrounding area, including West Des Moines, Ankeny and Ames, within a 25-mile service radius. Travel beyond that radius brings a travel charge, so it is worth asking where you fall when you call.

It details cars, trucks, SUVs, boats and RVs, working on the exterior wash, wheels, clay bar and wax, and the interior vacuum, shampoo and conditioning. For an RV with a lot of surface to cover, that full exterior and interior process matters more than a quick wash would.

Pricing is published by package rather than by hour. The Bronze Package starts at $170, Silver at $225, Gold at $285 and Platinum at $325. An Interior Package alone starts at $150, a Wax Package at $110, and a Hand Wash Deluxe plus Wax Package at $170. Add-ons include an engine bay degrease at $60, a clay bar treatment at $75 and odor removal at $110, which uses an ozone treatment and requires an overnight pickup and drop-off. These are listed rates for standard vehicle sizes, and oversized vehicles, which an RV likely counts as, may be subject to price changes, so confirm the quote for your rig's size before booking.

The owner started detailing in 2006 and has been in the car cleaning industry for years since. The business is a member of the IDA, the trade association for professional detailing operators. Google rates it 4.4 stars from 68 reviews.

This is a good fit for an RV owner in the Des Moines area who wants a published starting price and a crew that comes to the driveway or storage lot instead of a drive-in shop.
