Smitty's Auto & RV

Smitty's Auto & RV is an auto and RV repair shop based in Greenwood, Indiana. You bring the RV to its shop rather than have a tech come to you, and it serves Greenwood, Indianapolis, Shelbyville, Martinsville, Whiteland, Franklin and Columbus.

It works on RV roofs, including full roof replacement and re-sealing, along with collision fiberglass repairs, water intrusion repairs, HVAC, canvas replacement, and winterizing and opening for the season. A roof that gets beat up by weather and overhanging branches often leaks for months before anyone notices, so a shop that inspects and reseals it early can catch water intrusion before it rots the walls underneath.

Smitty's does not publish a trip fee or an hourly rate on its site, so ask about both when you call. Its hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, closed weekends.

The shop has been in business for more than 50 years, working on automotive, transmission, RV and fleet vehicle repair in the Indianapolis area, and describes itself as a locally owned and operated family business that strives to provide "honest quotes and knowledgeable service." It also keeps some used cars and RVs on-site for sale, if you are shopping rather than repairing.

Google rates it 4.3 stars from 63 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner in the Indianapolis area who needs a roof resealed, fiberglass damage fixed, or an RV winterized and opened, and who can bring the rig in during weekday business hours rather than needing someone on-site.
