TNT RV & Generator Services

TNT RV & Generator Services is a repair shop based in Greenville, Illinois, right off Exit 45 on I-70 at Route 127. You bring the RV to its shop garage, by appointment or as a walk-in, and it covers a service area it describes as "within a 30 mile radius of 4 interstates: I-70, I-55, I-57, and I-64," which puts a lot of passing travelers within reach.

It works on motorized and towable RVs of all kinds, including travel trailers, campers, motorhomes, race haulers and fifth wheels. Jobs in the shop cover general repairs, insurance estimates, winterization, hitch work, plumbing, electrical, mechanical work, appliance replacement and repair, awning replacement and repair, and propane refills. It also services RV, portable and whole house generators, stocking Honda and Cummins Onan parts, so a generator problem does not have to mean a separate trip somewhere else.

No hourly rate, trip fee or diagnostic fee is published, so ask about pricing when you call or stop in. Hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm and Saturday 8 am to noon, closed Sunday. For a traveler with a non-automotive breakdown on the interstate, the shop says to "pull in from the road and we'll try to get you rolling again as soon as possible."

Gary Tischhauser started the business in 2005 and still runs it with his wife and son, a family shop rather than a chain counter. Google rates it 4.4 stars from 81 reviews.

This is a good fit for a traveler passing through on I-70, I-55, I-57 or I-64 with a camper problem, or an owner near Greenville who wants a shop that also handles generator work and propane refills in one stop.
