Mint Auto Detail

Mint Auto Detail is a car detailing business based in Carbondale, Illinois, at 932 S Giant City Rd. It lists Marion, Carterville, Herrin, Murphysboro and De Soto as its service area. Its listing does not say whether it comes to your site or you bring the RV to it, so ask when you call.

Its published work is interior and exterior detailing, ceramic coating, paint correction and marine detailing, all for cars and boats. Its car detailing page mentions "even RV detailing" in one sentence. It names no RV types, RV service or RV repair work, so a slide-out, a roof or an appliance falls outside what it describes.

Its prices are for cars. An exterior detail on a sedan is $100, an interior detail is $170, and its full interior and exterior package is $200, each a starting price that "could change based on current vehicle condition." It publishes no RV price and no trip fee, so ask about both before you book. Hours are 8:30AM to 5PM Wednesday through Friday, with Monday and Tuesday by special appointment, and it lists no emergency or after-hours service.

It publishes no licensing, insurance, warranty or certification, and it names no owner or technician. Ask about insurance before anyone works on your rig at a campground, since a scratch or a damaged panel is a cost you want covered. Google rates it 5 stars from 143 reviews, and those reviews describe car work.

This is a good fit for a car owner in Carbondale or the towns listed above who wants a detail and will ask whether the same work can be done on an RV. It is not a fit for a traveler with a broken slide-out, a failing fridge or a leaking roof.
