Expert RV Inspections & Service LLC

Expert RV Inspections & Service is a mobile RV inspection business based in Antioch, Illinois. It comes to you, meeting you and your RV wherever it sits, and serves Chicagoland, Northern Illinois, Wisconsin and the surrounding areas.

Its main work is pre-purchase inspection of motorized and towable RVs, done by an independent, NRVIA certified inspector. The inspection covers all appliances, the generator, AC units, plumbing fixtures and propane-using devices, among other systems. Beyond inspections, it also offers a new owner orientation and walkthrough, where it will take the time to demonstrate and explain every system in the RV except the engine and transmission on motorized units, and it offers AC unit cleaning on the roof, including the evaporator coils, condenser coils and filters, work most owners cannot safely do themselves.

No inspection price or hourly rate figure is published; the walkthrough can run as "a fixed amount of time or open-ended on an hourly rate." Ask about pricing when you call. The business follows the NRVIA Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, and it will not perform repairs on an RV for one year after inspecting it, a rule meant to keep the inspection itself free of any incentive to find problems. As with any inspection, it does not represent or create a warranty or guarantee of any kind, so treat the report as information for your decision, not a promise on the RV's future.

This is a good fit for someone about to buy a motorhome or towable, from a dealer or a private seller, who wants an independent look at the RV's condition before signing, or a new owner who wants a slower, more thorough walkthrough than a rushed dealer handoff.
