Coachcraft by MacDonald

Coachcraft by MacDonald is an RV repair shop based in Columbus, Georgia. You bring the RV to its shop at 1370 Belinda Drive, where the team works on motorhomes and Class C rigs.

The shop covers mechanical and chassis work, including regular maintenance, chassis repairs, slide room repairs, fuel tank repair and replacement, electrical repair, generator repair and replacement, and air conditioning service and replacement. It also handles interior repair and restoration, from ceilings, flooring and stairs to appliances, plumbing, cabinetry modification and full remodels, plus bodyshop and insurance work covering collision damage, head and tail light customization, and awnings. It names Wanderlodge, Country Coach, Newmar, Foretravel, Prevost and Newell among the brands it works on, and says it is "the last certified Wanderlodge repair center in the USA," which matters if your coach is one of the harder makes to find parts and expertise for.

There is no published hourly rate, trip fee or diagnostic fee, so ask about pricing and how a job gets quoted when you call. Hours are not listed either.

The business was founded in 1989 by Frank and Brad MacDonald, which means decades of hands-on work on older and specialty coaches, the kind of history that matters when a part has been out of production for years. James Townley serves as general manager and BJ Judge as office manager. Google rates it 4.7 stars from 62 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner of a Wanderlodge, Prevost, Country Coach or similar high-end motorhome who needs serious chassis, electrical or interior work done right, or anyone restoring an older coach who needs a shop that still knows these models inside and out.
