True Test RV Repair, Parts & Services LLC

True Test RV is an RV and commercial vehicle repair shop based in Palmetto, Florida. It works on rigs at its shop, or sends a mobile RV tech to come to you, whether you are parked at home, in a storage lot or stuck somewhere along the road.

It services AC units, appliances, brakes and axles, engine oil, batteries, generators, and slide-outs and jacks on Class A motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers and camper vans. It is a Certified Service Center for Alliance, Forest River and Keystone, and it is also a Cummins Onan generator dealer and service center. It offers full pre-purchase inspections, worth asking about if you are buying a used rig and want a report on the roof, underbelly, propane, electrical and appliances before you sign anything. Beyond RVs, it also handles mobile repair for food trucks and other commercial vehicles, serving the Palmetto and Tampa Bay area.

No trip fee, hourly rate or price list is published, so ask about cost when you call. It says to call anytime, and if no one picks up right away, they will call you back.

"Our skilled technicians are all R.V.S.A. Certified, fully insured, and can work with all warranties and insurance companies," which matters if you are hoping a repair gets covered rather than paid out of pocket. The owners describe themselves as former full-time travelers who still take RV trips each summer, so they are working on the same kind of rig they have lived in. Google rates the business 4.7 stars from 88 reviews.

This is a good fit for a traveler stuck somewhere in the Tampa Bay area who needs a tech to come to them, or an owner near Palmetto who wants a shop that also does pre-purchase inspections and generator work under one roof.
