Planet RV Service

Planet RV Service is a repair shop based in Pompano Beach, Florida, and it also sends a mobile team to you for emergency work. For routine repairs you bring the RV to its facility; for breakdowns, it says "we come to you for emergency repairs" and that its "mobile service team is available 7 days a week with rapid response times." It serves Broward and Palm Beach County.

It works on air conditioning, plumbing, electrical systems, roofs, slide-outs, jacks and leveling systems, and water damage, plus collision repair, body work and windshield replacement. It also does pre-purchase inspections, checking AC, plumbing, electrical, roof, water damage, slides, tires, brakes and engine before you buy a used rig, a step worth the money since it can catch problems a walk-through would miss. If a storm or a collision wrecks your trip plans, it also delivers travel trailers and fifth wheels (no motorhomes) as temporary housing while the repair is underway, with rent-to-own available for insured owners.

No hourly rate, trip fee or diagnostic fee is published, so ask about the trip fee and what a visit costs before a tech is dispatched. It lists its hours as 7 days a week, 9am to 9pm, with emergency service available, and it says it works directly with insurance companies and handles claims processing, and accepts extended warranties on repairs.

It has been doing RV repair for "39 years of proven expertise in RV repair and maintenance," and it calls itself an "Insurance approved facility accepting all claims." Google rates it 3.6 stars from 356 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner dealing with an insurance claim after storm or collision damage, or a traveler broken down in Broward or Palm Beach County who needs a mobile tech the same day.
