Up a Creek Mobile RV Service

Up a Creek Mobile RV Service is a mobile RV tech based in Hutchinson Island, Florida. It comes to you, so the work happens where the fifth wheel is parked. The owner, Alan, is the certified RV technician himself, and you can call 219-310-7000 to schedule.

It works on air conditioners, refrigerators (residential, electric/gas absorption and 12-volt), water heaters, furnaces, generators and solar systems, including design and installation. It also handles landing gear, awning motors, stabilizer jacks, roof resealing, blackout shades, power cables and hot skin, which is voltage on the metal parts of an RV. It works on fifth wheel RVs. A rig that cannot be moved safely, like a fifth wheel with bad landing gear, is the case where a tech who comes to it saves you a tow.

It does not publish a trip fee, hourly rate or diagnostic fee, and it does not name a service area. Its posted hours are 07:00 am to 07:00 pm, and nothing is posted for emergency or after-hours calls. Ask about the trip fee and the diagnostic fee before the tech arrives, and ask whether it comes to a campground, storage lot or driveway outside Hutchinson Island.

Alan says he "attended 9 weeks of intense training covering RV systems" at the NRVTA, National RV Training Academy, which is a school for RV technicians. Before that work, he spent 30 years as a police officer and five more in the court system. He writes, "I bring my experience of serving others to the RV world." It does not state a warranty or give a license or insurance statement. Google rates it 5 stars from 4 reviews.

This is a good fit for an RV owner near Hutchinson Island with a fifth wheel that needs a mobile tech to come to where it is parked.
