Bob's Welding & RV Service

Bob's Welding & RV Service is a family owned and family operated RV repair business based in Fruitland Park, Florida, at 2626 Lake Ella Rd. Ask whether it comes to your campsite, driveway or storage lot before you book, because the only location it gives is the shop address.

The business describes its work as "RV maintenance and repairs," plus installing base plates and tow bars and carrying "all types of trailer hitches." Its listed work includes Onan generator repair, braking and tow braking systems, lube pumps, wiring, electrical troubleshooting, hydraulic jacks, awnings, slide-out covers, and roof repairs or rubber roof installation. It installs fifth wheel, gooseneck and receiver hitches. It does not name the RV types or brands it covers, but it says it can "fix and install almost anything when it comes to RVs, no matter which make or model."

Bob's does not publish a trip fee, hourly rate, diagnostic fee or per-job price, so ask about the trip fee and labor rate before you book. It carries a full line of parts and accessories, and you can pick up a part and have it installed right away. Its hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Ask about after-hours or emergency work, since none is mentioned.

The business has "over 28 years of experience in the field." It does not name a certification, warranty, license, insurance or technician, so ask about each when you call. Ask for proof of insurance before work starts on your rig, since a wiring or slide-out job can get expensive fast. Google rates it 4.9 stars from 57 reviews and lists it as an RV repair shop.

This is a good fit for an owner near Fruitland Park who needs an Onan generator repaired, a hitch, base plate or tow bar installed, or a roof, awning or slide-out cover handled, and who can reach the shop on a weekday.
