Preston Auto Body of Wilmington

Preston Auto Body of Wilmington is a collision and body repair shop based in Wilmington, Delaware, at 4800 Kirkwood Hwy. It is a shop you bring the RV to rather than a mobile service that comes to you.

The shop handles collision repairs and paint work, and it states plainly that it can make repairs on all makes and models of vehicles and can work on large vehicles such as RVs, buses, and tractor-trailers. That matters if your RV has been in a wreck or taken body damage on the road, since many collision shops will not touch something that size. It lists its service area as Wilmington, Claymont, Middletown, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding areas, and it also names Philadelphia, Elkton, Newark, and Cherry Hill among the places guests travel from.

No RV-specific collision pricing is published, so ask for a written estimate when you call or bring the rig in. The shop is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and closed weekends. It accepts cash, checks, and credit cards, and it offers to bring you home or to your office once your RV is dropped off, so you are not stuck waiting at the shop.

Its technicians work in an I-Car Gold Class certified shop, a standard that means they are trained to current collision repair methods across different materials and vehicle types. The shop backs its work with a stated warranty: "Any defects in workmanship will be corrected free of charge, unless caused by unreasonable use, maintenance, or care of the vehicle." It has been part of the Preston Automotive Group since 2022.

This is a good fit for an RV owner near Wilmington who needs body or paint repair after a collision and wants a shop willing to take on a vehicle that size, rather than turn it away.
