In the Shade RV Repair

In the Shade RV Repair is a mobile RV repair business based on the shoreline in Connecticut. It comes to you, with no shop visits and no towing, working at your home, a campground, a storage lot, a parking lot, a rest stop or just about anywhere your RV happens to be parked, anywhere in the state.

It works on furnaces, AC units, awnings, toilets, showers, plumbing and stuck slide-outs, and handles roof work including annual inspections, power washing and re-sealing. It services travel trailers, fifth wheels, motorhomes, toy haulers, pop-ups and campers, along with other rigs and vehicles people live or work out of. It also builds and customizes decks for RVs on request.

No hourly rate, trip fee or job prices are published, so ask about the trip fee and how a job gets priced when you call. Appointments are scheduled within a one-hour arrival window, and they will keep you posted if that changes. Hours run 9 to 5, Monday through Friday, with Saturday and Sunday by appointment. During camping season, availability for larger projects is limited because of an increase in regular service calls, so plan ahead if you want roof work or a deck built before next season.

Aaron has worked as a mechanic for over 15 years and trained in RV repair with Jeff at Good Times RV before he and Katy started the business in 2023. They also work with warranty and insurance companies, which can matter if a repair is covered. Google rates the business 4.2 stars from 13 reviews.

This is a good fit for a Connecticut RV owner who wants someone to come to the campground or driveway for a stuck slide-out or a roof reseal, rather than arranging a tow to a shop.
