Turnpike Motors Auto Body

Turnpike Motors Auto Body is an auto body shop based in Newington, Connecticut, south of Hartford on the Berlin Turnpike. You bring the coach or trailer to its facility rather than waiting for someone to come to you. As the pages put it, "Stop by our facility at 2550 Berlin Turnpike south of Hartford and a certified estimator will take a look at your coach or travel trailer."

It handles collision repair, interior and exterior bodywork, paint, frame alignment, glass repair, dent removal and generators and window seals on Class A, B and C motorhomes, fifth wheels and travel trailers, including Tiffin, Prevost, Entegra, Featherlite, Winnebago and American Coach. That range matters for an RV owner after an accident or storm damage, since body, frame, glass and paint work on a coach often has to happen in one place rather than being farmed out shop to shop.

No hourly rate or trip fee is published for RV work, so ask about cost and turnaround when you call. Hours run Monday through Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 1pm.

Technicians carry ASE, I-CAR and BASF certifications, and the shop has been at this since 1969. It backs its work with a lifetime warranty on repairs and paint, meaning a repaired panel or paint job is covered for as long as you own the rig, not just for a year. Google rates it 4.7 stars from 402 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner near Hartford dealing with collision damage, a damaged slide-out wall, cracked window seals or a paint job on a Class A, B, C, fifth wheel or travel trailer, who can bring the rig to the shop rather than needing a mobile tech.
