McNeal's Auto Center

McNeal's Auto Center is an auto and truck repair shop based in Durango, Colorado. It is not a mobile operation: you bring the RV to its shop at 20447 US 160.

Its main work is domestic and foreign auto and truck repair, but its services list includes a dedicated RV and motor home section covering electrical systems, water heater service, furnace service, generator oil change and gas generator service, refrigerator service, water system checks, appliance service, air conditioner repair, winterizing and de-winterizing, LP inspection and slide-out maintenance. It also handles trailers, including hitch work and trailer repair and fabrication, which is worth knowing if you tow.

No trip fee or hourly rate is published, so ask about pricing when you call. It does offer free estimates, and after-market warranties are honored, which matters if a part you had installed elsewhere fails.

McNeal's has been family owned and operated in Durango since 1976, and Mike McNeal, a master mechanic, personally supervises all work done at the shop. That kind of continuity means a shop that has likely seen most of what can go wrong on an RV running through Durango over the decades. Hours run Monday through Friday 7am to 6pm and Saturday 7am to 2pm.

Google rates it 4.2 stars from 92 reviews.

This is a good fit for a traveler passing through the Durango area who can bring the rig in during shop hours, or a local owner who wants one shop that can handle the RV's systems and the tow vehicle in the same visit.
