North County RV Repairs and Solar

North County RV Repairs and Solar is a repair shop based in Vista, California. You bring the RV to them, by appointment, and they serve north county, San Diego, including Vista, San Marcos, Poway, Ramona and Julian.

They work on electrical systems, battery service, plumbing systems, off-grid systems, charging systems, solar systems, hydraulic jacks, slide-outs, gas and electric heaters, generator issues and refrigerators, on motorhomes of any class, camper vans, rec vans, travel trailers, fifth wheel trailers, pop up campers and truck campers. They also install and service Victron solar controllers and inverters. One thing to know before you call: they do not repair RV engines.

No trip fee, hourly rate or diagnostic fee is published, so ask about those when you call. They do publish their hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., by appointment, and they take all major credit and debit cards.

Owner Tom Pagakis is a licensed electrician who has been in business for over 20 years, and the shop carries license number 754050. That matters here because so much of what they handle, solar installs, inverters, charging systems, is electrical work, and a licensed electrician doing it is worth something beyond a general RV repair shop. They describe themselves as working on "general maintenance, troubleshooting and repair services on RVs of all sizes."

Google rates them 4.7 stars from 12 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner in north San Diego County who wants solar or an electrical system handled by a licensed electrician, or anyone with a slide-out, generator or appliance problem who can bring the rig to Vista during business hours.
