SAM's Truck, Trailer and RV Repair

SAM's Truck, Trailer and RV Repair is a truck and trailer shop based in Union City, California, that also works on RVs. It comes to your location for roadside and on-site work, and you can also bring a rig to its Union City address. It serves the Bay Area, Hayward, San Jose, Gilroy, San Leandro, Oakland, Concord and Pittsburgh.

On the RV and trailer side, it lists 5th wheel installation, collision repair, commercial and industrial trailer work, horse trailer service, plumbing and water leak repairs, LPG, electronic brake controller installation, electrical repairs, tow vehicle wiring, roof maintenance, appliance repair and trailer suspension and wash work. For trucks, it covers oil changes, filters, fluids, axles, airlines, transmissions, exhaust, steering, suspension and electrical systems, plus Bit or Dot inspections, preventative maintenance, brake replacements, clutch replacements and lift gate repairs at your location.

There is no published hourly rate, trip fee or diagnostic fee, so ask about those when you call. It does say it offers "24 hours and 7 days' service so you can contact us whenever you feel it necessary," which matters if your slide-out or roof fails at an odd hour away from home. Its technicians are described as having "experience of more than 30 years."

Google rates it 3.2 stars from 32 reviews, worth weighing against the other details before you call.

This is a good fit for an owner in the Bay Area who wants one shop that can handle the truck, the trailer and the RV together, especially for an after-hours breakdown on the road, as long as you nail down the price before work starts.
