Premier RV Inspections

Premier RV Inspections is a mobile RV inspection service based in San Diego, California. It does not do repairs, it inspects. Its inspectors come to you, wherever the RV is sitting, and the company has "inspectors nationwide, with the exception of Alaska and Hawaii."

It inspects motorhomes, travel trailers and pop-up campers, covering the engine, transmission, drivetrain, generator, refrigerator, furnace, AC units, plumbing, 120 volt systems and appliances, LP gas systems, the fresh water and drainage system, and electrical items like a washer/dryer, dishwasher or garbage disposal. On motorhomes it adds a road test as a passenger, checking the transmission, suspension, brakes, power steering and dash gauges. It does not inspect the roof, though it checks for visible signs of water intrusion.

It publishes two flat prices: a Full Mechanical inspection at $399, and a Full Mechanical plus Condition Report, which adds a look at body panels, paint, windows and tires, at $599. It typically gets an inspector out within a couple of days of a request. There is no trip fee or hourly rate published and no stated hours, so ask about those when you call. This kind of inspection matters most before buying a used rig from a dealership or private party: a pre-existing problem found before you sign saves you from inheriting someone else's repair bill, and it is also often required before a warranty company like Wholesale Warranties will issue coverage.
