Adventure in Camping

Adventure in Camping is an RV repair shop based in Mammoth Lakes, in the Eastern Sierras, though its roots are in trailer rental. It handles service work both ways: it will come to your home or campsite anywhere from Bishop to Bridgeport, or you can leave your trailer at its service yard.

It works on trailers, covering winterizing, storage, plumbing repairs, roof vents, roof leaks, refrigerator repairs and heater repairs. It stocks parts for Dometic fridges, Surflo water pumps, Suburban and Atwood hot water heaters, Atwood heaters, and Dometic and A&E awnings, and says that if a part is not on hand, it can usually get it "within a few days or even the next day." That matters if your repair is stuck waiting on a special order.

No trip fee, hourly rate or service pricing is published, so ask about cost and timing when you call.

Adventure in Camping has been servicing trailers for 35 years. It is a Domestic authorized service location, a Skyline Warranty-approved service location, and a Forest River RV service center, which matters if your trailer is still under one of those warranties and you need the repair covered rather than paid out of pocket. Google rates it 4.5 stars from 92 reviews.

This is a good fit for a trailer owner camping or parked anywhere between Bishop and Bridgeport who needs a repair done on site, or one who would rather drop the trailer at a shop with decades in the area and factory-backed service standing.
