Magic Wand RV Services

Magic Wand RV Services is a mobile RV tech based in Laguna Niguel, California. It travels to the traveler's location rather than working out of a shop, so an owner with a stuck slide or a dead AC can get a tech to the campsite or driveway instead of hauling the rig anywhere.

It works on Class A motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, vans and mobile homes. Jobs it names include water heaters, roofs, slide seals and slide-out seals, AC units and batteries, plus emergency calls for a slide stuck, steps that will not retract, or levelers not working. It covers Dana Point, Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Laguna Niguel, San Juan Capistrano, Mission Viejo, Irvine, San Clemente, Oceanside, Huntington Beach, Lake Forest, Orange County and San Diego, with a reach it describes as "Southern California and Beyond."

No hourly rate, trip fee or diagnostic fee is published, so ask about the trip fee when you call. Hours run Monday through Saturday, 7am to 7pm, with coverage described as "On-call for emergencies" outside that window, which matters if your fridge quits at a campground on a weekend.

The business is described on its site as "professionally trained, certified, and insured" and as "a small family-owned business." No specific certifying body is named, so if that matters to you, ask what the certification covers when you call.

Google rates it 5 stars from 75 reviews.

This is a good fit for a traveler stranded somewhere between Dana Point and San Diego with a stuck slide or a dead AC, or an owner in the Orange County area who wants a tech to come to the driveway instead of waiting on a shop appointment.
