Freestyle Trailer Co

Freestyle Trailer Co is a restoration and renovation shop based in Goleta, California, at 106 Santa Felicia Dr. It describes itself as "Expert restoration, renovation, and modernization of classic Airstreams, RVs, and campers." You bring the rig to its workshop. The business does not say it will come to a campsite or driveway, so ask before you plan around that.

The work covers the outside and the inside. Outside, it strips, cleans and repairs dents and corrosion on the aluminum shell, then polishes it. Inside, it rebuilds the layout with new insulation and wiring and upgrades electrical, plumbing and climate control components. It says it can add solar power, and it lists cabinetry, flooring, lighting and upholstery as finish work. The brand it names is Airstream, and the RV types it lists are campers, motorhomes, trailers and travel trailers.

No trip fee, hourly rate or price list is published, so ask about cost when you call. The business offers a free consultation, and the planning stage includes an assessment of your trailer's condition. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Weekend hours are not listed.

Max is the craftsman the business features, and Carl is named as part of the team. It cites years of expertise but gives no number, and it states no certifications, licensing, insurance or warranty. Ask for those before work starts, since a warranty decides who pays when a repair fails after the trailer leaves the shop. Google rates it 5 stars from 8 reviews.

This is a good fit for an owner who wants a full restoration or modernization of an Airstream or other classic camper and can bring it to Goleta. It is not the place for a traveler who needs a repair at a campground tonight.
