RST Automotive Inc.

RST Automotive Inc. is an auto repair shop based in Fremont, California, that also works on RVs. You bring the RV to its shop at 37473 Glenmoor Dr, where the same team that handles brakes, AC, transmissions and electrical work on cars and trucks takes on motor homes as well.

On the RV side, the shop has handled coolant system flushes, chassis lube and catalytic converter replacement on motor homes, including a job on an American Clipper. One owner's RV had its catalytic converter stolen, and the shop located a compatible replacement, ordered it, installed it, caged it, and got it smog checked the same day, a useful detail if you are worried about a part that is hard to source.

No hourly rate or trip fee is published, so ask about those when you call. The shop offers after-hours drop-off: fill out a drop-off form, leave your keys in the secure drop box, and they handle it from there, which helps if your schedule does not match its Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm hours. It also accepts most extended warranties, which can matter if your RV coverage is tied to a service contract.

RST Automotive has been serving Fremont and the surrounding area, including Union City, Newark, Milpitas, Sunol, Carpenter and Hayward, since 1993. It has also won the Fremont Small Business Excellence Award for 2016 through 2021. Google rates it 4.7 stars from 22 reviews.

This is a good fit for an RV owner in the Fremont area who wants one shop for both the chassis and the recreational vehicle systems, and who can bring the rig in rather than needing a mobile tech.
