Bakersfield RV Center

Bakersfield RV Center is an RV repair and collision shop based in East Bakersfield, California. You bring the RV to its 8,500 square foot service center rather than have a tech come to you.

The shop works on motorhomes and travel trailers, covering electrical, plumbing, furnaces, refrigerators, air conditioners, generators, water heaters, ovens and ranges, and roof sealants. It also runs a full collision and body division, handling metal and fiberglass repair on sidewalls, front caps, rear caps and roofs, along with paint work using PPG products. It says it can find or recreate hard to find body parts when a manufacturer no longer stocks them. Roof sealant work matters more than it sounds, since a neglected roof seal is a common cause of water damage in an RV.

The shop does not publish a specific hourly rate, but says its technicians work at "the lowest labor rate in town," and offers free estimates on repair and collision work. It also works with insurance companies on collision claims and says it can in some cases help with part or all of a deductible. Extended warranties are welcome, and the shop offers buyer unit inspections for anyone about to purchase a used motorhome or travel trailer, which is worth having before money changes hands on a rig you have not seen serviced.

The owners say they have been providing RV services for more than 30 years. Google rates it 4.6 stars from 101 reviews.

This is a good fit for a Bakersfield area owner who needs collision repair, appliance work or a pre-purchase inspection and does not mind bringing the RV in rather than waiting on a mobile tech.
